No. Importing a lesson file, teaching from it, projecting the blackboard, hotspots, and answer reveals all work fully offline. The only time BlackboardView makes a network request is if you tap a web link you added yourself inside your notes.
Yes. BlackboardView uses iOS's external-display support, so the same blackboard view projects whether you connect over a physical HDMI adapter or wirelessly via AirPlay/Screen Mirroring — no separate setup for either one.
